Joseph Land is the Founder and Chairman of JL Capital Group, LLC.

Beginning his career in transportation, Mr. Land formed the Joseph Land Group, Inc. He fondly recalls, ”I had a dream and no money….over the ensuing 25 years we were fortunate to create a company which grew from a humble beginning to more than $179 million in annual sales”.  

The Joseph Land Group, at its peak, operated more than 1,500 trucks and employed 2,000 people in its twenty three offices across the North America. The company was listed by Price Waterhouse in 1989 as the eighth largest refrigerated transportation company in North America and the eighteenth largest company in South Carolina.

Joseph Land has more than 40 years of experience in building successful companies from the ground up. 
Mr. Land works closely with the companies he invests in to help them achieve sustainable growth. His focus is on investing in exceptional companies and individuals who share his passion for success.

Mikyle Jessen is the President and Head of Acquisitions of JL Capital Group

Mikyle brings more than 15 years of experience starting, growing, operating, and managing strategic investments to JL Capital Group. Mikyle's knowledge and experience has been developed through years of hands-on work in the field. He was born in Elgin, IL, and began answering phones in his mothers small business at the age of 7. He learned quickly the value of communication, "knowing the numbers" of a business and the principles of dedication and hard work. He completed his first real estate deal at 18 years old and built his first company to over $1M in annual sales by the age of 21 years old. 

At JL Capital, Mikyle is focused on improving operational & enterprise value of JL portfolio companies. He brings his experience, resources and step-by-step approach to every investment, working closely with management teams to unlock value and drive growth through marketing & sales, improved operations, and strategically managed finance.

Jennifer is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record in the fashion industry. As EVP of JL Capital, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day interactions inside the company and with portfolio companies representing the JL Brand.  

Drawing from her background in the fashion industry, Jennifer is acutely brand-conscious and drives the JL Global Brand across all investments and companies. 
Jennifer Land is the Executive Vice President of JL Capital Group. 

Jennifer is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record in the fashion industry. As EVP of JL Capital, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day interactions inside the company and with portfolio companies representing the JL Brand. Drawing from her background in the fashion industry, Jennifer is acutely brand-conscious and drives the JL Global Brand across all investments and companies. With her exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and thought leadership, Jennifer has been instrumental in positioning the JL Companies to compete effectively on a global scale. Beyond her professional pursuits, Jennifer is a devoted mother to a combined family of eight children and several grandchildren.
Digital Operations Manager for JL Capital
Dory runs the digital side of JL Capital. Managing the tech stack, websites, and back end web form deliverables. 

Doryz has helped develop the digital JL Brand, helping the business to operate and function effectively in the digital space. She started working with the JL brand for 4 years and still carries with her a strong passion and commitment to deliver excellence and significant contributions to the business.
Brand Strategist and Social Media Manager for JL Capital. 
Mark is the head social media brand manager for JL Capital. Mark is a creative thinker and is passionate about growing the JL brand in the digital space. He is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes having worked for JL for 4 years. He ensures that entire activities in all of his social media channels convey the same strong message of the brand. He spearheaded the Ask Joseph Land show, manages live webinars, training and Q&A's. 

Vice President of Development
Kyle is a veteran of nine years in the United States Navy, an Entrepreneur,
Small Business owner, and a former Financial Advisor.

Kyle has also taken on the role of Project Manager, on the development side, of several of the Apps for each of these respective companies, in an effort to expand his areas of practical experience beyond solely Finance. Kyle’s years of service in the military ingrained a keen sense of attention to detail that has been instrumental for ensuring a smooth transition from the drawing board stage to a full launch to
the public.

Vincent holmes

Vincent Holmes, serial entrepreneur, resourceful application developer, expert marketing
researcher, prolific business investor, and martial artist.
He is the founder and CEO of McHolmes Technologies of Bowie, MD. He is also CEO and co-founder of MyDojo--the nationwide groundbreaking Virtual and brick and mortar dojo chain.

Vincent’s extensive marketing background has resulted in his ownership, part ownership, spearheading, and/or managing multiple multi-million-dollar companies to include both brick and mortar as well as virtual enterprises. As an avid business investor, Vincent is at the forefront of innovation in the various industries in which he invests.

Tony Fightmaster

Tony Fightmaster

Tony Fightmaster is a long time friend and confidant of Joseph Land. His role in the church, at Olivet Nazarene University or at home.
Tony is passionate about being the person God has called him to be. He currently serves as the director of church and university relations at Olivet, overseeing the connectivity of the University with the 700 Churches of the Nazarene in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Prior to leading Olivet's church relations, he served for more than 20 years in the Admissions office, taking on multiple roles of leadership from admissions counselor to associate director to the director of the Office of Transfer Admissions.

Reverend Dr. James S. Gallant, III.

Reverend Gallant has been Joseph Land’s best friend and spiritual mentor for 35 years.
He is the vicar of St. Andrews Missions Church and the president of Gallant Evangelistic Ministries, both of Charleston, SC. Reverend Gallant is a graduate of Benedict College and earned his Masters in Theology from Gulf Coast Seminary. He also attended Columbia University and the Lutheran Theological Seminary. Additionally, he has an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the Medical University of South Carolina and an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity from Cathedral Bible College. 

MARY COURTNEY BROOKS

Graduate of Baylor University and is a veteran of the Health Care Industry. 
Her career involved medical device and pharmaceutical sales. She decided to retire at an early age and be a stay at home Mom. She and her husband, Tim, have three daughters.

One of Mary Courtney’s many philanthropic involvements in the Charleston Community has been serving on the board of Low Country Orphan Relief. She is involved with the JL Brand and is a close advisor to Joseph and Jennifer.
